Compa is a travel planning app. These terms are short because the app asks so little of you: there is no account to create, and your data stays on your device (see the privacy policy for exactly how).

The free app

Compa is free to use, on the web and as an app. You may use it for planning your own travel. You may not use it to attack, overload or reverse the service, or resell it as your own.

The trip pass

The trip pass is a one-time purchase that unlocks the assistant features, the handful of things in Compa that call an AI and cost real money each time they run. One pass is for one person's own use. The sale is handled by our payment provider as merchant of record; they are the seller, they handle payment, applicable VAT and receipts. What you receive is a licence key, shown to you immediately after payment, which you paste into Compa. Keep the key safe: it is your purchase, and because there are no accounts, we cannot look up "your" key from a name or an email. See the refund policy for cancellation.

Fair use of the assistant

Assistant features have generous fair-use limits so one person cannot spend everyone's allowance. If a key is abused, for example shared publicly or scripted, it can be limited or revoked; a revoked key that was honestly bought will be replaced rather than left dead.

What the assistant is, and is not

Assistant answers are produced by AI from your own trip and public information. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything that matters before you rely on it: opening hours, visa rules, transport times, health and safety advice. Compa is a planning aid, not a source of professional advice, and your travel decisions remain your own.

Your content

Your trips, notes, photos and documents are yours. We claim no rights over them. Whatever you submit to the assistant is used to answer you and is not stored by us; sharing and backup work as described in the privacy policy.

The service

We work to keep Compa available and honest, and the core of the app works offline precisely so an outage does not strand you mid-trip. Still, the online parts (sharing, backup, assistant) are provided as is, without a promise of uninterrupted availability. To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything arising from the free app or the online parts is limited to the amount you paid for your pass.

Compa is operated from the Netherlands. Dutch law applies, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under EU law.
